    Good family diner!! BUT
    Service was 6/10, apparently we had a server who was breaking our actual server. So our temporary server (Molly) had approached our table & didn't greet us or anything, all that was said was "what can I get you to drink". Didn't introduce herself or explained she was the breaker, didn't come back when the food arrived to see if everything came ok? She was MIA almost the whole time but

    Then there was CESAR the busser and Valeria the food runner, these two were exceptional!!! They're service was 10/10. Especially Cesar! Both were not our servers & they were more attentive than the actual server!!!!! I was mind blown..

    Seriously these two were amazing!!

    Food was 10/10

    Other than that, I'd come back again & id definitely ask for a different waitress next time.

    We had good, reliable food, with good service.  We had the standards.

    My only complaint was the lack of any gluten free bread or batter ...

    My favorite place in Newport to get a milkshake!! This place in underrated in my opinion :D

    I love this location because it's one of the few casual greasy spoon diners in Newport Beach i can take my kids to. Prices are reasonable and the staff is quick and friendly. Plenty of free parking and lots of cozy booths  available in the morning if you arrive before 10am. I typically come here when I take the kids to the beach and we pit stop here for breakfast or lunch. You can't go wrong with the breakfast menu. I really love their omelets and croissant breakfast sandwich. The pancakes are fluffy and delicious, too! Yum, I can also substitute the toast for one pancake, which is my little secret lol

    I liked that this place offers breakfast and dinner food. You can come here to get an omelette or a filet mignon in any part of the day. There are a lot of options to choose from.

    I ordered the Jambalaya. At first glance, it looked and smelled delicious. Nevertheless, it was a huge disappointment. The rice was hard and stuck together. The whole dish was just excessively oily. I also noticed by the end of my meal that the chicken was missing. When we told the waitress, she asked if I wanted a side of chicken breast. I declined since it was too late. The best part of the dish was probably the garlic bread but even that was pretty mediocre. They did end up giving me 50% off my dish which was really nice of them! They also messed up our checks with another table.

    2/5 STARS- Too many mistakes in one visit. I would love to give another try with their breakfast menu.
